Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains how Grafting LLC (“Catholify,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information when you use the Catholify apps on iOS, Android, and the web, including public prayer pages, and when you email us or join our mailing list.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. We do not use it to advertise or sell a subscription or other product.

Grafting LLC is an Alabama limited liability company. It operates Catholify. Our servers are in the United States. Email admin@grafting.us for privacy and other legal questions. Email support@catholify.com for help with a Catholify account or subscription.

Information you give us

Account

If you create an account, we collect your name and email address, and a profile photo if you choose to add one. You can sign in with a link or code we email you, or with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. We do not use passwords.

If you use Apple or Google, we receive the account identifier and the name and email address they share with us. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal one.

Your email address is not shown to other users. Your name is visible to other people using Catholify. If you add a profile photo, that photo is visible in the same way. On a public prayer page, your name and photo may also be visible to anyone who opens that page, including people who do not have an account. If a public prayer is featured outside the app, as described below, your name and photo may appear with it.

Prayer and other content

We collect the content you publish, such as prayer requests, intentions, comments, and campaigns, along with the visibility setting you choose for each item: public, limited to friends or groups, or private. A prayer can include details you choose to write, which may be sensitive, such as health, family circumstances, or religious life. We do not require it.

Friends-only, group-only, and private prayers are used only for the audience you chose. If you mark a prayer public, we may also share it so that more people can pray. We may publish the prayer, your name, and your profile photo on channels we operate, such as a podcast, an email, a social post, or another invitation to pray. We do not use prayers to advertise or sell a subscription or other product.

Optional device access

Some features work only if you turn them on. You can refuse or later withdraw each permission in your device settings.

Payments

The core service is free. An optional subscription unlocks additional features. On iOS and Android, Apple or Google processes the payment. On the web, Stripe does. We receive subscription status and transaction records, such as the plan you bought and a transaction identifier. We do not store your full payment-card number.

Mailing list and support

If you join the mailing list, we use your email address to send those messages until you unsubscribe. Each message has an unsubscribe link. Messages about your account, such as sign-in codes and subscription receipts, are separate from the mailing list and continue while your account is open.

If you email support@catholify.com, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and keep a record of the request.

Information collected automatically

When you use Catholify, we collect device identifiers, app diagnostics, and product analytics, including crash and performance data. We use this to keep the app reliable, understand which features are used, and fix failures. We do not use it to advertise to you, build marketing profiles, or sell information about you.

Crash and performance reporting is provided by Sentry. Sentry may receive technical details such as device type, operating system, app version, a device identifier, and IP address.

If you turn on push notifications, we store a push token and use it only to deliver those notifications. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings.

The app stores content on your device so you can use it offline. That cache stays on your device.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

Who else receives information

Other people see your name, your profile photo if you added one, and the content your visibility settings allow them to see. A public page can be opened by anyone with the link, including guests who are not signed in. Friends-only or group-only content is limited to those people. Private content is not shown to other users.

Public prayers may also reach people outside the app. People who hear or see something we publish, such as a podcast episode, an email, or a social post, may hear or see the prayer, your name, and your profile photo. A publication that has already gone out may continue to include that prayer if you later delete it or narrow its audience. We will not use it in new publications after that.

We use service providers to run Catholify. They may process personal information only on our instructions, for the purposes in this policy:

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or when it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Grafting, our users, or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction, and the recipient will be bound by this policy or a successor policy that gives equivalent protection.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep information

We keep account information and content while your account is open. You can delete your account in the app. When you do, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except that we may keep limited information for up to one year for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, and legal claims. Payment and tax records may be kept longer when the law requires it. A publication that already includes a public prayer, such as a podcast episode, email, or post, may keep that copy. Other people who already received a public prayer may also keep their copy until they delete it in the ordinary course.

Unsubscribe from the mailing list to stop those messages. We keep a record of the unsubscribe so we do not email you again.

Your choices and requests

You can decline optional permissions, turn off push notifications, unsubscribe from the mailing list, and delete your account in the app. You can also email admin@grafting.us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or to ask a question about this policy. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.

If you live in California, you can ask us to know, correct, or delete personal information, and you can use an authorized agent to submit a request. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not offer financial incentives for personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information, to provide a portable copy, or to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We process account and content information to provide the service you request. We process security, fraud-prevention, and diagnostic information because of our legitimate interest in running a reliable service. Optional location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, push notifications, and the mailing list are used with your consent, which you can withdraw. Prayer content can reveal religious beliefs and other sensitive details. We process it because you choose to submit it. When you mark a prayer public, you manifestly make it public, including for the publications and invitations to pray described above.

Children

Catholify is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use Catholify. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete the account and that information. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe we have information about a child under 13, email admin@grafting.us.

Some countries set an age above 13 for agreeing to an online service on your own. If that applies to you, use Catholify only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Where information is processed

We process personal information in the United States. If you use Catholify from another country, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from the laws where you live.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and change the date above. If we make a material change, we will also give notice in the app or by email.
